Phil Lesh has announced a new Phil & Friends show at Frost Amphitheater in Stanford, CA featuring members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, and more. The performance, presented by Stanford Live and Goldenvoice, is set to take place on Saturday, June 4th, 2022.
The lineup of musicians set to join Phil Lesh in Stanford includes his son, Midnight North guitarist/vocalist Grahame Lesh; his former Furthur bandmate, drummer Joe Russo; Russo’s JRAD bandmate, guitarist/vocalist Scott Metzger; iconic jazz fusion guitarist and Phil’s frequent Friend John Scofield; and Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench.
“Going back to where it all began, a dream we dreamed one afternoon, long ago,” Lesh said of the performance in the Dead’s old stomping grounds.”I couldn’t be more excited to take this trip down to Palo Alto with my dear friends Grahame Lesh, Scott Metzger, Joe Russo, John Scofield, and Benmont Tench.”

In other Phil Lesh news, Telluride Bluegrass Festival this week announced the addition of a Phil & Friends performance on the event’s final day, Sunday, June 19th.
