Phil Lesh & Friends gathered to celebrate the Fourth of July the best way they know how—with a festive Terrapin Clubhouse session.
The 84-year-old Grateful Dead bassist was joined by his son Grahame Lesh, Scott Law, Jason Crosby, Jeremy Hoenig for the Fourth of July special, which featured nearly 40 minutes of free improvisation and patriotic selections starting with “U.S. Blues”. “Jack Straw” and “Liberty” came next, ahead of “One More 4th of July” (a rendition of “One More Saturday” with altered lyrics), and a cover of Neil Young‘s “Rockin’ in the Free World” dubbed “Rockin’ in a Free World”.
