Every year, The Roots host an all-star musical celebration for Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, PA. Going down Saturday, June 2, the 2018 event will see a headlining performance from The Roots, hosted by Dave Chappelle, with special guests. The full lineup includes Lil Uzi Vert, The Dirty Projectors, The Diplomats (AKA Dipset with Cam’ron, Jim Jones, & Juelz Santana), 2 Chainz, 6LACK, DVSN, Brandy, Black Thought & J. Period Live Mixtape featuring Fabolous & Jadakiss, Rapsody, Rich The Kid & Jay Critch, Goldlink, DJ Kid Capri, BADBADNOTGOOD, Grits & Biscuits, DJ Drama presents Gangsta Grillz with special guests, JoJo Abot, Sun Ra Arkestra, Tierra Whack, and Bri Steves.
There will also be live podcast tapings on the Podcast Stage, featuring Drink Champs, On One with Angela Rye, Questlove Supreme, ItsTheReal, and The Realest Podcast Ever. There will also be Madden and NBA 2K tournaments hosted by Ipod King Carter on the Lifestyle Stage, in addition to a fashion panel, art panel, hustle panel, and The mARkeT.
