Phish has shared pro-shot footage of the “Weekapaug Groove” > “Shafty” encore from night two of their destination festival at the Moon Palace Cancun resort in Cancun, Mexico.

Night two of Phish’s destination event saw them get “Shafty” in more ways than one. For the first time in almost eight years, and for only the sixth time in their career, “Shafty” appeared in a setlist as something other than just a tease. After opening set one with “Turtle in the Clouds”, Trey AnastasioMike GordonPage McConnell, and Jonathan Fishman launched into “Shafty” for the first time in 302 shows. A segue led to “Plasma” before they returned to “Shafty”, then back to “Plasma”, followed by a take on “The Lizards”.

They weren’t done with the song just yet, however. During the “Bathtub Gin” jam section, Anastasio guided the band towards “Shafty” for the third time in the opening set. Following a second set that included takes on “2001”, “Drift While You’re Sleeping”, and a cover of Led Zeppelin‘s “Good Times Bad Times”, Phish returned for a three-song encore. A jam out of “Sand” led to a take on “Weekapaug Groove” before one final take on “Shafty” ensued.
