For the latest installment of BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions, the U.K. outlet paired up Phoebe Bridgers and Arlo Parks for a take on the Radiohead hit “Fake Plastic Trees”, released on Sunday.

Bridgers herself is no stranger to collaboration, as early on her work with Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) in Better Oblivion Community Center helped propel her status in the indie crowd that now heralds her. Parks, an up-and-coming artist in her own right from London, takes an understated role in the collaboration that shows her ability to add her handiwork without being the center of attention.

The combination between these two ever-rising artists on the track from 1995’s The Bends takes a heavily stripped down approach of just a grand piano and their two voices. Bridgers is the center of attention vocally, as Parks provides just the slightest lyrical accompaniment while maintaining the overall mood on the piano. Set in a cavernous church, the song’s depressing nature becomes even heavier as Bridgers nearly collapses under the emotional weight of the ode to everything fake in this world.
