On Friday, Southern California’s surf-rock outfit, The Growlers, wrapped up the spring leg of their 2020 Natural Affair tour two weeks early at Boulder, CO’s Boulder Theater, as the band was forced to postpone the remaining March dates due to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

The quintet played a 24-song set of songs new and old to the Boulder crowd, supporting their 2019 album, Natural Affair, and kicking things off with 2009’s “Someone Something Jr.” They continued on with Natural Affair‘s “Try Hard Fool” before “Night Ride”, “Dope On A Rope”, “Tune Out”, “Love Test”, “Pet Shop Eyes”, “Someday” and “One Million Lovers” led to another new song, “Foghorn Town”.
The midpoint of the single set show began with “Feelin’ Good”, before “Drop Your Phone In The Sink”, “Social Man”, “Natural Affair”, “Empty Bones”, “Nosebleed Sun”, “Badlands”, Sea Lion Goth Blues”, “Decoy Face”, “Pavement And The Boot”, “Who Loves The Sun?”, “Vacant Lot”, “City Club”, and “Chinese Fountain” capped the performance. The Growlers then returned to the Boulder Theater stage for a three-song encore, including “Shadow Woman”, “I’ll Be Around”, and “Going Gets Tuff”.
