The Revivalists stepped to the plate on Friday for a concert at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston.

The show at the Fenway Park-adjacent theater featured the second-ever performance of “Kid”, one of four new songs the band debuted on Monday at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium. That show, the band’s second of two at The Mother Church of Country Music, also saw a guest appearance from Roosevelt Collier.

Rather than debuting more songs or welcoming special guests in Boston, The Revivalists looked to their time-tested catalog to fill out the bulk of the set with longstanding favorites “Keep Going”, “You and I” and “Monster” appearing early. The David Shaw-led New Orleans octet also paid tribute to Bee Gees with a performance of “To Love Somebody”, shortly before their smash-hit “Wish I Knew You” finished the main set.

Audiences in Boston were treated to a four-song encore, featuring oldies “Hurricane Winslow” and “Catching Fireflies” before getting more modern with “Celebration” and finally closing out with “Soulfight”.
