Baltimore-based jam quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has launched a new charitable organization, Dawn A New Day Foundation, to help provide their ever-growing community of fans an opportunity to make a positive change in the world. The launch of the new foundation follows the recent release of the band’s newest studio single, “Dawn A New Day”, in partnership with the music industry mental health and wellness resource hub, Backline. Backline will serve as the first official partner of the foundation.

Through donating $1 from every ticket sale during Pigeons Playing Ping Pong’s 2020 tour, fan donations, and a variety of other fundraising efforts to come, Dawn A New Day Foundation aims to raise funds and awareness for charitable organizations that are important to the band and the community that supports them. Most significantly, these organizations will all aim to effect a positive change in the world in a variety of different ways.

“The mission of our music is to radiate positivity and spread joy, which is what Dawn A New Day Foundation is all about,” Pigeons singer and guitarist Greg Ormont explains. “We hope to channel that warm and fuzzy feeling and build toward a brighter future with the help of The Flock. There’s nothing more rewarding than radiating the kind of positivity you want to see in the world and then watching it ripple beyond you.”
