Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Goose have announced a webcast that will see the two bands perform “Live From Out There” on Saturday night.
The announcement follows Thursday’s news that the bands have postponed this week’s Presto tour shows in the Southeast U.S. due to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The postponed shows include the Mill & Mine in Knoxville, TN (3/12); Marathon Music Works in Nashville, TN (3/13); and The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA (3/14).
The “Live From Out There” webcast will feature a full set by both Pigeons and Goose, beginning with Goose at 8:00 p.m. ET and Pigeons at 9:30 p.m., courtesy of nugs.tv. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides assistance to musicians and music industry workers who have suffered a loss of income due to the recent COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Of course, the bands’ recent tour postponement comes amid a flurry of live event cancellations and suspensions due to the coronavirus. What started with big events, like SXSW, Ultra Music Festival, and Coachella, has now evolved into a postponement of all Live Nation and AEG events. Both Pigeons and Goose are scheduled to perform with each other next month at The National in Richmond, VA (4/18) and The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY (4/24). As of now, those shows will continue as scheduled. Visit Pigeons and Goose‘s websites for the most up-to-date information.
