Is 20 year old producer Porter Robinson capable of inciting a riot? That’s what the police at the Matador Music Festival in Santa Barbara, CA are saying after they cut his set short by a half hour. According to YourEDM.com, the police tried to shut down Porter’s set on April 28th at 11:00pm, when it was scheduled to end at 11:30pm, due to noise complaints from surrounding neighborhoods. Porter told the crowd that since he was being cut off in 5 minutes, he would play his hit ‘Language’ immediately. The cops shut down the set mid-song, accusing Porter of ‘inciting a riot’ and threatening to confiscate his equipment as evidence.
Porter issued the following Tweets explaining the situation:
the cops cut me 35 minutes short and shut down this show halfway through language. really sorry to everyone to paid to see this show.

the sheriff told me he was going to arrest me and seize all of my equipment ‘as evidence’. vindictive tyrant is embarrassed about the truth.
