Post Malone ended up in the hospital after taking a hard fall during his show in St. Louis on Saturday. The singer received medical attention for several minutes as he lay injured on the stage after accidentally stepping into a hole used to lower equipment.

Posty eventually stood up and walked off stage with assistance, returning shortly after to finish the performance. He was visibly in pain, however, clutching his ribs as he sang, and ultimately cut the performance short.

He was taken to a hospital and later posted a video update in which he assured fans he was okay:

“Thank you for the patience, thank you for putting up with my dumb ass,” he said in the video address. “Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitars on the guitar stand goes down and there’s this big ass hole,” he explained, “so I go around there and turn the corner and bust my ass… It got me pretty good.”

He continued, “We just got back from the hospital and everything’s good. They gave me some pain meds and everything, so, we can keep kicking ass on the tour.”

He went on to apologize to “everyone in St. Louis” and thank the audience for coming to the show. “[Next] time I’m around this way we’re going to do a two-hour show for you,” he added. “So, we can make up for the couple missed songs that we missed.”

He concluded his message expressing gratitude to his fans for their support:

“Thank you guys for your support and the love. Thanks for hanging around even though I got my ass kicked by myself. I love you guys so much! Thank you and have a great night.”
