It looks as though the “Luck o’ the Irish” will be ever-present in Chandler, AZ this coming St. Patrick’s Day weekend, as the Pot Of Gold Music Festival has arguably one of the best lineups of the early 2018 festival season. The festival, which is scheduled for March 16th through 18th, has a little bit of something for everyone, bringing both old-school staples and some of music’s hottest new acts to the sunny Southwest. (Get tickets here).

For headliners, Pot Of Gold Festival has signed on big-draw names like Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band, Sturgill SimpsonRuss, Rebelution, and Dirtyheads. However, the down-bill is equally as notable, with artists like St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, TAUKThe Infamous Stringdusters (who are coming off a Grammy win this past week), Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Pepper, BoomboxMidnight NorthG. Love & Special Sauce, and more representing a huge range of genres and making for a truly impressive lineup.

Pot of Gold Music Festival has tapped favorites from the jam, country, hip-hop, and reggae scenes.  On Saturday, jamfather Phil Lesh will lead his son Grahame Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band down the golden road with plenty of choice selections from the Grateful Dead catalog, while roots-rock singer-songwriter and Grammy Award-winner Sturgill Simpson will inject some outlaw country into the mix. Hip-hop producer Russ has been a hot ticket as of late and will headline Friday night’s festivities, while Cali’s Rebelution will deliver the roots-rock-reggae vibrations on Sunday.

Outside of the headliners, there truly is a little bit of everything for attendees to enjoy. The Infamous Stringdusters—who also won a Grammy Award this past week for Best Bluegrass Album—are on-hand to offer up their high-octane bluegrass stylings. St. Paul and the Broken Bones’ will see the band perform soul-inspired R&B, and the quickly rising ensemble Con Brio, featuring the group’s charismatic frontman and vocalist Ziek McCarter, will perform what might be best described as “sex funk.” On the other end of the spectrum, TAUK not only rocks, but fuses hip-hop, funk, and jazz for their mind-warping instrumental blend, and Boombox will host a psychedelic disco dance party of their own during their late-night set on Saturday night. Denton, TX’s Cody Jinks will be a highlight set, with tracks from his 2016 album I’m Not the Devil, which reached #4 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart.
