Tool singer Maynard James Keenan is turning 60 and to celebrate, he’s taking his other two bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, on the road along with Primus for the Sessanta tour, a special joint outing that will see the groups rotate lineups on the fly and collaborate on stage each night. The tour will mark A Perfect Cirlce’s first shows in five years.

“Bands aren’t used to simultaneously sharing the stage with other bands, but if anyone can do it, it’s Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer,” Keenan said of the tour’s unusual format, which according to press materials, features a distinct set from each group with “musicians from the trio of bands joining each other’s performances throughout the concert.”

The run consists of seven shows, kicking off in Phoenix, AZ on Keenan’s birthday on April 17th, followed by stops in San Diego (4/18), Los Angeles (4/20), Berkeley (4/21), and West Valley City, UT, and culminating with two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheare on April 25th and 26th.

Tickets for the Sessanta tour featuring A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Primus are on sale now. Check out a humorous promo clip for the tour below.

Prior to the joint tour, Keenan will join Tool for a run of fall tour dates beginning October 3rd in Loveland, CO. For more information and to purchase Tool tickets, visit the band’s website.
