Australian fuzz-rock outfit Psychedelic Porn Crumpets have announced their next studio album, SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound, due out early next year on February 5th via What Reality? Records/Marathon Artists. The band which has built a following within the global rock community thanks to their high-energy psychedelia confirmed details on their fourth studio release on Wednesday, along with sharing the album’s latest single, “Tally-Ho”.
The adrenaline-pumping new track from the Aussie rockers launches listeners through a rabbit hole of sonic excitement and garage rock bliss. The arrival of “Tally-Ho” on Wednesday also follows previously-shared tracks that will also appear on the album including “Mr. Prism” and “Mundungus”.
“I wanted something that could encapsulate loads of fun and sound a bit strange,” singer/guitarist Jack McEwan said of the band’s latest studio effort with the announcement. “Like painting a colourful image of this distant world.”

McEwan continued about the songs to be featured on SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound, “For the first time in a long time I was home without any tours booked, no work, no deadlines and I felt free to create. My writing process became ritualistic; every morning starting with a small walk to the local bottle shop at 11am and writing whatever flowed, allowing myself to design in all styles without boundaries, and not trying to theme the album early on. I haven’t had the luxury of writing this way since the first record, which I spent almost a year working on. It felt like I was myself again, creating without opinion or constraints. I was gliding through weeks with a day seeming to pass.”
