Chicago’s newest venue, Radius Chicago—which is set to open in 2020—announced its first set of shows on Tuesday.

The venue will open with a performance by Dillon Francis on February 29th. The initial Radius Chicago concert schedule will continue from there with shows by Carl Cox (3/6); Tchami (3/13); Lil Wayne (3/28); Killswitch Engage, August Burns Red, and Light The Torch (4/4); and Alkaline Trio and Bad Religion (4/18). Australian psych-rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will take the Radius Chicago stage on April, 24th, 2020 for the final event on the venue’s initial schedule.

Owner and operator Nick Karounos converted the old steel factory to a modernized state-of-the-art music venue in order to provide an elevated experience for all music lovers in the surrounding Pilsen neighborhood and beyond. A D&B KSL sound system, exceptional acoustics, and a mezzanine level that will host VIP guests/packages will help provide 2,500–3,800 guests with the aforementioned state-of-the-art music experience. In addition, Radius Chicago will also feature lavish artist lounges, a large outdoor smoking section, and nine full-service bars that serve craft beer and specialized cocktails.

The venue will also include a smaller event space within the larger building. Cermak Hall, a 10,000 square-foot event space tucked within Radius, will have its own entrance, a full bar, and an additional stage. The smaller venue will host pre- and post-event experiences along with weddings, conventions, corporate/private events, and more.

“We were looking for a scalable, multi-purpose venue space to house a state of the art concert facility,” says Karounos. “This project has been four years in the making and we are beyond excited to show Chicago…what we have built for music lovers…”

Radius is located south of The Loop which borders Chinatown and has easy access off I-90/94. The venue will provide a rideshare friendly pickup zone and several parking options. It will also be accessible via various forms of public transportation.

Tickets for each of the initial Radius Chicago shows will go on sale on Friday, December 13th at 12 p.m. local time. Dates and ticket information for all announced shows can be found below.
