Railroad Earth continued its 2022 winter tour on Wednesday night at The Intersection. The midweek show saw the jamgrass outfit deliver a career-spanning setlist to a packed house in Grand Rapids, MI.

The septet pulled heavily from 2004’s The Good Life during the first frame, offering three songs including the title track, “Bread And Water”, and “Neath The Stars”. After takes on “Been Down This Road”, “Lordy, Lordy”, “Any Road”, and “Slippin’ Away”, Railroad Earth took its newest track, “Runnin’ Wild”, for a ride. Set to appear on the band’s forthcoming All For The Song album, due out on April 22nd, this rendition of “Runnin’ Wild” eventually found a home in “12 Wolves”.

While the group went light on the segues during the first half of the show, it linked several songs together throughout set two. An opening of Tom Lehrer‘s “The Hunting Song” eventually made its way to “Grandfather Mountain”, while “Potter’s Field” followed and found its match in “Lonecroft Farewell”. A mid-set “Day On The Sand” set up a lengthy “Blues Highway” > “Luxury Liner” > “Hard Livin'” segment that brought the band to “Everything Comes Together”. The seven-piece would eventually encore with a cover of Johnny Cash‘s “Wayfaring Stranger”.
