Trey Anastasio Band keyboardist Ray Paczkowski returned to the stage after a multi-month absence when he joined the Trey Anastasio Trio at the Sprint Pavilion in Charlottesville, VA on Thursday. As previously reported, Paczkowski—affectionately known to many as The Milkman—underwent a succesful emergency surgery in March after doctors discovered he was suffering from a brain tumor.

Much like the Trey Anastasio Trio tour that took place earlier this year, Thursday night’s show featured plenty of Phish favorites, including “Ghost”, “46 Days”, “Waste”, and “Farmhouse” as well as newer Phish tunes like “Blaze On”, “No Men In No Man’s Land”, “Soul Planet” and, “More”. Of course, a number of TAB staples also made the setlist, such as “Gotta Jibboo”, “Sand” and “Pigtail”. “Waste”, “Strange Design”, and “More” even got the solo acoustic treatment from Anastasio when they appeared during the night’s encore.

Trey Anastasio Trio will perform again on Friday night when they head to the Central Park Summerstage in New York City. As of now, the band has not announced that Paczycowski will be joining them tonight.
