Record Store Day will return to celebrate all things vinyl on April 22nd, 2023, organizers announced.

This revelation comes as RSD continues its gradual return to normalcy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the independent record store holiday was spread across three fall dates called RSD Drops. Also introduced was RSD Black Friday, which arrived in November amidst the post-Thanksgiving shopping spree.

In 2021, Record Store Day consolidated to two RSD Drops in June and July, with Black Friday returning once again. Last year saw Record Store Day return to a single-day celebration in April, though organizers also introduced an RSD Drops date in June for any releases that were delayed in production and could not make the original celebration.
