The Recording Academy has revealed that the 2023 Grammys will return to Los Angeles in its typical month of February. The 65th Grammy Awards will occur at the Crypto.com Arena on February 5th.

This announcement comes after two pandemic-altered award ceremonies in 2021 and 2022. The 2020 Grammys just skated by on January 26th ahead of the COVID-induced halt of the music industry. The following year saw a scaled-down ceremony at the Los Angeles Convention Center on March 14th. The Recording Academy was planning a full comeback for the 2022 awards before the Omicron surge pushed the ceremonies to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV on April 3rd.

Next year’s ceremonies will also feature a slew of new categories announced by the Academy last month. New awards will be presented for Songwriter of the Year, Best Alternative Performance, Best Americana Performance, Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, and more. The Academy will also present a new special merit award for Best Song for Social Change.

Nominees for the 2023 Grammys will be revealed on November 15th.
