On Tuesday, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Red Hot Chili Peppers made a stop at Sydney, Australia’s Qudos Bank Arena amidst their 11-date tour throughout Australia and New Zealand. RHCP’s current touring lineup includes founding members Anthony Kiedis and Flea, longtime drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

Red Hot Chili Peppers delivered a career-spanning setlist including “Breaking The Girl” and “Give It Away” off of 1991’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik; “Scar Tissue”, “Californication”, and “I Like Dirt” off of 1999’s Californication; “Hey”, and “Snow (Hey Oh)”, off of 2006’s Stadium Arcadium, and “Dark Necessities”, “Go Robot”, and “Goodbye Angels” off of the band’s most recent The Getaway release.

The biggest surprise of the night came midway through RHCP’s set, when the band dusted off “Fortune Faded” for the first time since June 27th, 2007, at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany, a gap of nearly 12 years. “Fortune Faded” was released as a single in 2003 to coincide with the release of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Greatest Hits, a collection of songs from their time on Warner Brothers’ label between 1991 – 2002.
