The glorious Jazz Fest collaborations keep on coming! With the Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining the final day of weekend one at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the band literally pulled a page out of the New Orleans heritage and welcomed some of its core musicians.

For the band’s funky finale, they called on The Meters’ George Porter Jr., Zigaboo Modeliste and Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville, welcoming them into the fold for an extended jam session on their original, “Give It Away.” The 10-minute funk fest was a smash hit throughout the crowd, and makes for an outstanding way to start your Monday morning.
