If you’ve ever dreamt of jamming with Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, now is your chance. Relix is gearing up for the first-ever Relix Rock Camp, a four-day Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp experience in New York City offering participants the opportunity to learn from and jam alongside Lesh, John Scofield, and Robert Randolph, plus a stacked group of rockstar counselors including Gary Hoey, Derek St. Holmes, Scott Sharrard (Little Feat/Gregg Allman Band), Alex Koford and Ross James (Terrapin Family Band), Tony Leone (Little Feat), Steve Liesman (Stella Blue’s Band), Lo Faber (God Street Wine), Leslie Mendelson, Michael Falzarano (Hot Tuna), Fuzz (Deep Banana Blackout), and more. Musicians and vocalists of all skill levels are welcome.
Participants will be placed into bands with other musicians based on a questionnaire, and over the course of four days beginning on Thursday, October 27th until Sunday, October 30th, they will have the opportunity to rehearse with their band for a live performance and headliner jams, attend master classes taught by world-renowned rockstar counselors, participate in themed jam rooms and Q&A sessions with counselors and special guests, and enjoy all-hands-on-deck counselor performances and the opportunity to jam with them. All bands will also have the chance to perform at The Cutting Room in NYC on Sunday night.
Multiple packages are available, including the Jr Rockers Program, which is customized for ages 12–16, and the Recording Package, which includes a full day session at a professional recording studio with a professional producer and special guest Jesse Lauter, whose production credits include Tedeschi Trucks Band, Stephen Stills & Judy Collins, Ben Harper, Neal Francis, Mikaela Davis, Pussy Riot, Marco Benevento, and more.
