Soul singer Charles Bradley passed away less than two weeks ago at the age of 68, due to complications from an ongoing battle with cancer. Though the inspirational singer found fame later on in life, he never took it for granted and was a shining force of positivity both on the stage and off. He always took the time to meet and talk with his adoring fans, and seemed to have an otherworldly appreciation for this thing called life and all the mysteries surrounding it.

Living on Soul filmmakers Jeff Broadway and Cory Bailey released a touching video on his Facebook page of Bradley being filmed while on the road in Vienna, Austria back in July 2014. The video shows the Daptone Records artist’s unique take on life, God, and the music, as well as a beautiful clip of Bradley singing “Victim of Love” in front of a church to a crowd of adoring fans.

At the beginning of the video, Bradley prophetically states, “Right now, I’m just trying to get through life in a humble way. And I try to forget about a lot of the hardships, but it’s hard to get rid of it. Because a lot of things in the hardships, there’s some sweetness in them. You got to analyze it very finely, and try to see what I can let go and keep.” Watch the full video below:
