Black Sabbath‘s 1972 studio album Vol 4. will receive a deluxe reissue on 4CD and 180 gram 5LP, the band’s social media pages announced on Wednesday.

The remastered album box set due out via RHINO on February 12th, 2021, will include 20 previously-unreleased studio and live recordings from the band’s U.K. tour in March 1973. The box set will also come with a liner notes booklet complete with quotes from all four band members, rare photos, and a poster with previously-unpublished early artwork of the album using the working title “Snowblind”.

The six previously-unreleased studio outtakes from the original sessions at the Record Plant in Los Angeles have been remixed by Steven Wilson from the original analog multi-tracks. The 11 additional studio recordings will highlight alternative takes, false starts, and snippets of studio dialogue.

The original album, released in September 1972, was self-produced by members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, and featured the singles “Supernaut”, “Changes”, and “Snowblind”.
