It is with a heavy heart that we must report on the untimely death of keyboardist Norman Dimitrouleas, longtime keyboardist of The Werks and of The Maji. Dimitrouleas joined The Werks in 2008, and brought his older brother Dino Dimitrouleas into the lineup in 2011. While Norman left the band in 2014, the former keyboardist leaves behind a legacy of great music and love from the community.

Both Dimitrouleas brothers are essential to the band’s story, including the foundation of The Werk Out Festival, held annually throughout the 2010’s. Norman even sat in with his former band at Werk Out 2015, joining in for the group’s original “Carry Me Back Home.” Dino expresses his gratitude before the song, saying “You know, Werk Out feels like home to so many people, and it feels like home to us too. We’re all family here, so it’s so wonderful to be here, right now, with all you people at home. We love you.”

Watch below:

RIP Norman, you will be missed. Our hearts goes out to the Dimitrouleas family, The Werks family, and all friends and loved ones.

Rest in peace Norman Dimitrouleas. Gone too soon but you will never be forgotten. “The hate is gone, there is no wrong, you are in paradise”
