Boston-based sextet Ripe continued its 2021 fall tour on Saturday night with a stop at Rochester, NY’s Anthology.
Fresh off a stop at Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground, the six-piece brought its funk-pop stylings to upstate New York for one final show in the area. Members Robbie Wulfsohn (vocals), Jon Becker (guitar), Sampson Hellerman (drums), Kai Sandoval (trumpet), Calvin Barthel (trombone), and Nadav Shapira (bass) actually began the fall run of shows in the very same region with a performance at Syracuse’s Westscott Theatre on October 15th, about an hour west of Rochester.
From here, Ripe will head north of the border for a show at Ritz in Montreal, ON on December 10th before heading to Portland, ME for a gig at Aura on the 11th. Stops in Holyoke, MA (12/17) and Concord, NH (12/18) will set up a two-night New Year’s run at Irving Plaza in New York City (12/30–12/31). The band will enjoy a month off before launching into its 2022 tour schedule with a show at Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN on February 3rd. Head to Ripe’s website for tickets and additional tour information.
