Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza released a new mixtape today, via Soundcloud. Disco-Tech Mixtape Volume 1: Occult Disco Explosion finds Garza exploring various subgenres of house and techno, getting a little darker at times, but never losing the groove. This is definitely worth the listening, as we find Garza at the top of his game.

Rob’s current foray has taken him back to his electronic roots, exploring modern sounds and rhythms that he finds exhilarating. The sets are harder, darker, groovy, and fun, touching on the tangents of many modern sub genres not usually associated with Rob or his past. Disco-Tech Mixtape Vol.1 “Occult Disco Explosion” is an introduction to his sets and new sounds.
