Friday, October 8th will see the first of two livestreams from the Robert Glasper Electric Trio, live from the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City.

In partnership with On Air, the immersive show will stream across the globe in 4k UHD and Dolby Atmos. Justin Tyson (drums), Burniss Travis (bass), and DJ Jahi Sundance will join Glasper on stage for the first stream on Friday night at 8 p.m. ET.

The second livestream, set for Friday, October 29th, will also begin at 8 p.m. ET and feature Terrace Martin and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. Appropriately titled Dinner Party, the stream will serve as a nod to Glasper, Martin, Kamasi Washington, and 9th Wonder‘s jazz/hip-hop fusion supergroup and album of the same name.

“I’m really excited for people to see these shows. People have been asking when I’m coming to their city but I can’t travel everywhere right now, obviously,” said Glasper in a press release. “It was a really cool experience to perform in the space with 3D screens. It looked kind of trippy and fun while we were recording, so I’m looking forward to watching it again and being able to experience it with fans that can’t see me live right now. I hope they have as much fun watching it as we did while recording it.”

Tickets for both streams are available individually or as a bundle, here. Watch the official announcement trailer for the livestream shows below.
