Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have released a new music video for “Searching For My Love”. The track initially appeared on the duo’s collaborative album, Raise The Roof, which arrived back on November 19th via Rounder Records.

The November release of Raise The Roof marked Plant and Krauss’ first album together in 14 years and included 11 covers and one original, “Can’t Let Go“. Featuring a lauded lineup of Jay Bellerose (drums), Dennis Crouch (bass), Marc Ribot (guitar), Russell Pahl, Viktor Krauss, and Jeff Taylor, the album highlighted the unlikely duo’s ability to reimagine songs across a variety of sonic landscapes and truly make them their own.

This cover of Bobby Moore & The Rhythm Aces‘ “Searching For My Love” is no different. Originally released back in 1966, Plant and Krauss transform the track with their unique brand of folk-rock. It includes some soulful vocal interplay between the two while the instrumentation beckons a more refined soft rock sound.

Plant calls the song “another nugget of beautiful lost soul music which has been ricocheting between me and Alison for a long time.”

The Matt Mahurin-directed music video features Rolan Meyer as an explorer from years past. Meyer traverses mountains, oceans, and the upper limits of the atmosphere in search of his “baby”, played by actress Julia Lucey. While the two never connect, their souls cross paths at different points in time, calling forth the old adage, “right place, wrong time.”

Beginning on June 1st in Canandaigua, NY, Plant and Krauss will travel across the U.S. and Europe through July. The cross-continental trek will include stops at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN (6/17), as well as Roskilde Festival in Denmark (6/29).
