Dozens of popular artists ranging from Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Carly Simon, and more will take part in a Rock ‘N’ Relief virtual benefit event to raise money for CORE. The non-profit initiative founded by actor Sean Penn (which stands for Community Organized Relief Effort) acts as a mobile COVID-19 vaccination program that provides access to the COVID-19 vaccine in low-income communities around Los Angeles.

Scheduled to air this weekend on March 5th-6th, the Rock ‘N’ Relief event organized by acclaimed producer/songwriter Linda Perry will feature virtual performances from Deadmau5, Jewel, David Saw, James Blunt, Ziggy Marley, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, Gavin Rossdale, Pete Yorn, Dawes, Shaed, and more. Additionally, the event will hold live performances from artists including Miguel; Silversun Pickups; Macy Gray; Valley Queen; Uncle Duane’s Band; Sosie, Travis, & Kevin Bacon; Juliette Lewis & The Licks; and Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas.

“As a mother and fellow member of this community, I wanted to do something to lift spirits and send a positive message of hope and humanity to all the healthcare workers and those on the front lines, as well as raise awareness and funds to support CORE and their relief efforts,” Perry said in a press statement about this weekend’s virtual benefit. “When I first put the word out, many jumped on board to contribute; we had over 150 bands submit to play… We are extremely overwhelmed by the level of support we are getting from these rebel artists who are generously donating their time and so grateful for the backing from the biggest players in the media space.”

Hosted by SiriusXM and KROQ DJ Kat Corbett, the two-day event will stream for free on Rolling Stone‘s YouTube channel and Amazon Music‘s Twitch channel.
