Rolling Loud California has changed its age requirement policy to 18-plus. The change comes less than a month away from the festival, set to take place on December 10th–12th at National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernadino, CA.
In a statement posted to the event’s Instagram page, festival organizers wrote, “We welcome everyone to experience our festivals, however, in light of recent events, we will be implementing an 18+ policy specific only to our upcoming 2021 California festival.”
“We will be giving all ticket purchasers who are under the age of 18 the option to either roll their tickets over to next year’s 2022 California festival or receive a refund,” the statement continued. “Refund or rollover requests must be made through the original purchaser’s Front Gate account during the period beginning November 23rd at 9AM PST and ending November 26th at 12PM PST.”
The new age requirement comes less than three weeks after the tragic events at Travis Scott‘s Astroworld Festival in Houston, TX on November 5th. A crowd surge during Scott’s headlining set on night one at NRG Park injured hundreds and killed ten people, including nine-year-old Ezra Blount. Two other minors, John Hilgert (14) and Brianna Rodriguez (16), were also killed when conditions on the festival grounds turned chaotic.

While Scott was not scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud California, he did headline the other 2021 Rolling Loud festivals at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL, and Citi Field in Queens, NY.
Rolling Loud California will deliver a lineup headlined by Kid Cudi, J. Cole, and Future, with additional performances by Chris Brown & Young Thug, Wiz Khalifa, Kodak Black, Playboi Carti, and many more next month.
Ticketholders can visit the festival’s website for additional information.
