As concert and festival cancellations continue due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it’s uncertain when we’ll be able to set foot on festival grounds again. As May approaches, the 2020 festival season would just be getting going, yet we find ourselves locked in our homes, unable to experience a multiple-staged event. Since you can’t go to a festival right now, let the festivals start coming to you. Start your stay-at-home quarantined music festival season off with the three-day Room Service Music Festival on April 24th–26th.

The event will be hosted by Andy King, the breakout star of Netflix‘s FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, who famously indicated that he would go to, erm, great lengths to ensure that the eventually-doomed FYRE Festival would have access to clean water.

Presented by Trap Nation and Chill Nation, the three-day festival will go live on YouTube so you can ride the rail right in the comfort of your home. The weekend will feature performances by CloZee, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Chromeo, Zeds Dead, GRiZ, Mt. Joy, Big Gigantic, Big Wild, CharlesTheFirst, Rezz, Glitch Mob, and more. Proceeds from the event will go directly to Sweet Relief and Feeding America. Within the first 24 hours of the festival announcement, fans submitting an RSVP to attend had already raised $15,000 for these nonprofits and their important work.

Mirroring a similar format as a music festival, Room Service will feature simultaneous multi-channel “stages” with mixed genres across The Nations’ YouTube channels.

CEO and Founder of The Nations, Andre Benz discussed the festival in a statement:

Room Service was created by a group of talented individuals with a collective philosophy, wanting to offer a positive environment in an uncertain time. Our primary goal is to raise money for those impacted through the recent cancellation of live events through our partnership with Sweet Relief. This would include everyone from small club staff to musicians & support crews unable to tour and are directly impacted by COVID-19. In addition, we have partnered with Feeding America who provides funding to food banks and is helping thousands in need throughout the country. Our followers and fans made an incredible impact with their generous actions during our recent Digital Mirage festival. Reaching millions of music fans, we hope to see the upcoming Room Service Music Festival grow that impact exponentially. We believe strongly that it is our duty to do good in the world.

Along with live music performances, live programming, studio sessions, artist interviews, and fundraising opportunities will be scattered throughout the weekend for exclusive media bites with artists and those working behind-the-scenes.

“Much of this is possible because the team at Razer have provided artists with all of the necessities, from laptops to cameras so our artists can remain sheltered in place and stream with all the essential hardware,” President of The Nations, Creighton Burke added.
