Event organizers for Virginia’s Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival have announced plans to host a smaller, more intimate version of the annual Memorial Day weekend event with two nights of music from moe. with support from Cris Jacobs Band, Neal Francis, and more.

The two-night event, billed as moe.morial Day Weekend: A Rooster Walk Family Gathering, will take place at Pop’s Farm in Martinsville, VA on May 28th–29th with moe. set to headline both nights. Other artists scheduled to perform at the event include Kendall Street Company, South Hill Banks, Isaac Hadden Project, and Disco Risque.

Two of the above-mentioned supporting bands will perform on Friday, while four will perform on Saturday. Event organizers did not share a detailed schedule with Wednesday’s announcement.

Guests will be allowed to camp on-site at the Memorial Day weekend event, while social distancing and the use of facemasks will be required for attendees. Tickets for the event will go on sale this Friday (4/9) at 10 a.m. ET. Click here for more info.

moe. also announced on Wednesday that they will host upcoming concerts at Maggie Valley Festival Grounds in Maggie Valley, NC on May 27th, and Showtime at the Drive-In in Frederick, MD on June 18th-19th. Head to the band’s website for on-sale info.

Prior to the arrival of COVID-19, Rooster Walk was scheduled to return for its 12th year on May 21st-24th, 2020 with performances from The Infamous Stringdusters, Melvin Seals and JGBFruitionBIG Something, and more. The event was originally rescheduled for May 27th-30th, 2021, but event organizers were forced to push the festival back again to the coming fall months with “Rooster Walk Reunion” set to take place on October 8th–10th.
