[UPDATE 12/16/21]: Rooster Walk has added a dozen new artists to the lineup for its 2022 event, set to take place in Martinsville, VA on May 26th–29th, 2022, which was already set to include Little Feat, Tab Benoit, Andy Frasco & The U.N., and more.
New additions to Rooster Walk 12 include Lettuce, Big Something, The War and Treaty, Fruition, Los Colognes, Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast, Isaac Hadden Organ Trio, Sanctum Sully, Wilson Springs Hotel, Striking Copper, The Stews, and Big Fat Gap.

[11/22/21]: Rooster Walk 12 has announced its initial lineup for 2022, headed by Little Feat, Tab Benoit, Andy Frasco & The U.N., and more. The 12th edition of the annual Martinsville, VA festival will return to Pop’s Farm over Memorial Day weekend (May 26th–29th, 2022).
Also on tap for Rooster Walk 12 are Sammy Rae & The Friends, two sets of Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Yarn, Mountain Heart, The Nude Party, Mike & The Moonpies, The Wooks, Sol Driven Train, Crawford & Power, Pirates of the Piedmont, and more to be announced. Little Feat will perform its legendary 1978 live album Waiting For Columbus in its entirety as the band celebrates the album’s 45th anniversary with a U.S. tour.
Tickets for Rooster Walk 12 are on sale now. The festival was originally announced in 2019 with the intention of taking place in 2020. Rooster Walk was ultimately postponed to 2022 due to the pandemic, though many would-be attendees chose to hang onto their tickets. Since passes have been on sale for nearly two years, “early bird” prices are not available.
Rooster Walk organizers held a pair of scaled-down events in 2021, including last month’s Rooster Walk Reunion at Pop’s Farm. Though the traditional Rooster Walk did not take place over Memorial Day this year, moe. hosted moe.morial Day Weekend: A Rooster Walk Family Gathering.
