Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen and Z2 Presents have announced the first annual Rosenberg’s Block Party, set to take place outside the restaurant’s Boulder, CO location at the intersection of 13th Street and College Avenue on University Hill this Saturday, September 10th.

The free event will bring local fans, friends, and families a jam-packed day of live music, games, and food and drink from Rosenberg’s and its various Bridge & Tunnel Restaurant Group sister restaurants, Sherry’s Soda Shoppe, Lou’s Italian Specialties, and Famous Original J’s Pizza. In addition to performances by Denver electro-funk trio SunSquabi and DJ Airwolf, the inaugural Rosenberg’s Block Party will feature a sanctioned beer garden with drink tastings for attendees over 21 years of age.

Rosenberg’s Block Party will also mark the official introduction of the “After Dark” menu popularized at the Denver Rosenberg’s to the Boulder location. Stop by Rosenberg’s throughout the event—and into the future—to try NY-style pizza and Italian deli favorites, and more nostalgic East Coast flavors from the whole Bridge & Tunnel family.

The celebration will kick off in earnest on Saturday afternoon, with music starting on the outdoor stage at 4:00 p.m. and running until 10:00 p.m. Prior to the official start time, Rosenberg’s and its neighbors on The Hill will get the day started with a variety of pre-party activities. DJ Airwolf will be behind the decks at Rosenberg’s from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. for a special Saturday brunch set. 303 Boards, along with sponsors Converse and Red Bull, will host a skateboarding contest featuring cash prizes at its location on 13th street from 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. The nearby Sherry’s Soda Shoppe location will also host a happy hour with buy one, get one free ice cream scoops and ice cream shakes (with or without booze).

Following the day’s outdoor festivities on The Hill, the festivities will continue with an official Rosenberg’s Block Party after-party at Boulder’s Fox Theatre with OG Garage A Trois, the acclaimed jazz-funk trio featuring Stanton Moore (Galactic), Charlie Hunter, and Skerik.
