After a decade of cultivating industry experience as a booking agent, Allen Roper has launched the new RoundTable Artists agency. Building on the success and stature of his former The ART Agency, the new hybrid booking agency and management firm is hitting the ground running with a stable of rising talent including Tand, Funk You, LITZ, The Kind Thieves, and more.

“The RoundTable represents the philosophy of partnership,” Roper said of the company’s mission. This core belief translates into “The recognition that we’re all in this together. Fostering healthy partnerships with our clients, but furthermore, with our promoters, artist managers, agents…and really, every vested interest involved. It truly does take a village.”

RoundTable Artists represents The Brothers Gillespie, Buffalo Wabs & The Price Hill Hustle, Charlie Brown Superstar, crypto WAVE radio, Darrin Hacquard, Eric Bolander, Jaden Decker, Jeremy Short, Jimmy Wooten, Kyle Kelly, Root Shock, ROXY ROCA, Sneezy, The Talismen, Wayne Graham, and William Matheny. The roster’s influences stretch from jam to EDM to reggae to Americana and beyond, with a particularly strong footing in Appalachian music culture as established by Whizzbang Management, with several Whizzbang clients represented by RoundTable.

Roper’s journey began back in 2010 with regional freelance booking, joining Hoplite Music in 2012 for the company’s launch. It was there that he helped foster the talent and reputations of the bands that have since become pillars in the modern jam scene including DopapodPigeons Playing Ping PongSpaffordBig Something, and more. By February 2017, he was ready to go out on his own with The ART Agency—Artists of the Roundtable—which he ran for two years until becoming an agent at Madison House. After returning to The ART Agency in 2020, he has now entered a new chapter by evolving the company into RoundTable Artists.

“I wanted to create something greater than myself,” Roper said of the decision to form RoundTable Artists, “and build a supportive team where I could be in a position to better serve my clients, as well as embrace new opportunities as they arose.”

Along with himself, Roper brings aboard decades of industry experience. Helping manifest the mission are Jason Miles of Jay Goldberg Events—a vet with three decades of diverse music background—along with Michael Krell who continues to gather a swelling talent roster of his own as an industry agent.

“Jason Miles is a well-rounded individual who understands all the various facets of this crazy industry,” Summer Camp Music Festival co-founder Ian Goldberg said. “Having worked all sides for production and management, to promoter and Talent Buyer, Miles has a unique understanding of what it takes to break an artist in today’s biz, and has the drive and ambition to follow through.”
