ROXODUS Festival, a new festival which was set to take place at the Edenvale Airport (located about 90 mins north of Toronto) in Ontario, Canada on July 11th-14th has been canceled.

According to reports shared on Wednesday, the inaugural ROXODUS produced by new promotion company MF Live Inc has been forced to cancel the event due to the amount of rainy weather the venue and surrounding area has experienced throughout the spring months. “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of Roxodus Music Festival this year,” MF Live Inc’s Fab Loranger said in a statement of the event’s cancelation. “Our team has worked tirelessly to find a solution in which the show can go on but unfortunately we could not make it happen this year. Our dream of producing a ‘once in a lifetime experience’ has been put on hold as we take the time to nurture our venue. We sincerely thank all of our artists, sponsors, partners, and neighbors who have supported us from the very beginning. The embrace from our community has meant the world to us and we hope to one day see our dream come to life.”

The report goes on to state that the city of Clearview Township where the event was scheduled to take place had approved all the necessary permits back on June 19. By July 2nd however, event organizers realized there wouldn’t be enough time for the grounds to recover from the amount of rain which had been poured onto the land over the last few months.

Event organizers have not stated whether or not the event would take place in 2020.
