Drummer Travis Barker (Blink-182) has reunited with hip-hop duo Run The Jewels for a new single that was released on Friday entitled, “Forever”. The talented rock drummer and power hip-hop group previously joined forces for the latter’s 2014 album, Run The Jewels 2.

Barker has kept a busy creative schedule since the live music and touring circuit shut down in March. The famous drummer has released a number of collaborative singles alongside noted hip-hop artists during the spring and summer months, including producer duo The Score, Machine Gun Kelly, Wiz Khalifa, and Uno The Activist.

The new song hears the two parties bring their trademark energy together in force, as the lyrical components from RTJ’s El-P and Killer Mike move smoothly over Barker’s hard-hitting drum lines.

The song’s arrival on Friday follows the surprise free release of RTJ4 earlier this summer on June 3rd, just as protests focused on strengthening race relations began to flood the streets of major cities across the country. Run The Jewels also just launched their new line of branded cannabis products, Ooh LaLa, named after the RTJ4 track of the same name.
