Sacred Rose has announced a slate of pre-parties and after-parties to keep the music going when the festival makes its debut August 26th–28th at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, IL. Among the artists who will play the extracurricular events are Umphrey’s McGee, a guest-filled tribute to the Grateful Dead‘s Europe ’72Dawes, and more.

Before the party starts over at SeatGeek on Friday, Umphrey’s McGee will perform at The Vic Theatre on Thursday, August 25th in advance of the group’s two sets at Sacred Rose on Saturday. Over at Thalia Hall on the same night, a diverse lineup of musicians including Eric Krasno (Soulive), Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), Ross James and Alex Koford (Terrapin Family Band), and Ric Roberston (Lucius/Oliver Wood) will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dead’s iconic Europe ’72 live album, with more special guests to be announced.

For those not ready to call it quits on Saturday, White Denim will continue the party at Chop Shop. Then on Sunday, after all is said and done at SeatGeek, Dawes will close out the weekend with another after-party at Chop Shop.
