Sacred Rose has announced that it will issue refunds to fans after canceling much of the third and final day of the festival last weekend at SeatGeek Stadium due to weather. The first-year festival held outside Chicago in Bridgeview, IL ultimately scrapped performances from headliners including Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Khruangbin after lightning in the area forced attendees to evacuate the venue multiple times during the afternoon and evening.

Attendees will have from today, September 5th, through next Monday, September 12th to request a refund for the base ticket price of a Sunday Single Day Pass or the proportionate one-third of the base ticket price of a 3-Day Pass. Organizers note that “payments will process within 30 days or less of the refund closing window.”

To apply for a refund, fans must visit the festival website and access their Front Gate Tickets account. Once there, users can view their order history under the “Your Account” tab, select “View Order Detail” on the order number they wish to have refunded, and finally click “Request Refund”.

Organizers also once again apologized for the system error that led to some fans receiving hundreds and even thousands of dollars in false transactions on their credit cards after purchasing concessions at the festival. In the immediate aftermath of the event as a number of attendees took to social media and even local TV news to complain about erroneous charges, SeatGeek Stadium stated the problem was due to a “configuration error” and that all charges would be reversed in 3-5 business days.

“We also want to apologize to those affected by the stadium’s credit card system,” the Sacred Rose team wrote. “Although it was out of our control, we did everything in our power to quickly work with the stadium to make sure those transactions/holds were reversed.”

Festival staff have also set up an email account for fans to share their perspective on Sacred Rose at feedback@sacredrosefest.com.

“Despite any challenges, there were countless moments of magic that we’re psyched to start sharing shortly now that the details of refunds are available,” organizers wrote in closing. “Thank you so much for joining us, the continued support, and positive messages/comments. It means the world to us.”
