The Grateful Dead’s connection to San Francisco is a long and storied one, and the city’s hometown baseball team will recognize that connection come August. As Jambase revealed, August 13th is now on the schedule as “Grateful Dead Tribute Night – 50th Anniversary Celebration!”

Furthermore, the description on the Giants’ website promises that “Members of the original band, as well as members of the Garcia family will be in attendance and participating in special pre-game components taking place on-field, so make sure to arrive early!”

If you’ll recall, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and Tim Flannery sang the national anthem during the team’s 2014 playoff run, so you can expect something big for Grateful Dead night at AT&T Park!
