Sasha Dobson, who fans will recognize thanks to her work in indie-Americana trio Puss N Boots, has released a new solo EP today (4/15) entitled, Simple Things.

The new release marks Dobson’s first studio album under her solo banner since 2014’s Into The Trees. The album also features production work and contributions from a pair of familiar names in Wolf Bros members, bassist Don Was (who produced the project) and drummer Jay Lane.

“Last Fall I was fortunate to spend a day in the studio with Bob Weir’s Wolf Bro’s, producer/bassist, Don Was and drummer/vocalist Jay Lane,” Dobson mentioned in a statement with the album’s arrival on Wednesday. “We recorded 4 original songs live at TRI Studios in San Rafael California Sept 23, 2019. Engineered mixed and produced by the great Vadim Canby! I hope you love it as much as I do.”

Dobson is no stranger to the Grateful Dead extended family, as she was invited to play with Bob Weir and Wolf Bros during their performance at New Jersey’s Count Basie Theatre back on March 13th of last year.
