HQ Trivia host Scott Rogowsky recently announced some special guests for his upcoming Running Late talk show, set to take place on Thursday, February 21st at New York City’s SubCulture. Rogowsky will interview NBC News‘ Katy Tur, which will be accompanied by a performance from singer/songwriter, Matisyahu. Rogowsky, Tur, and Matisyahu share a musical bond, as all have publicly expressed their love and admiration for Phish.

Running Late draws on everyone’s favorite traditional late-night television programs, as Rogowsky and his sidekick/dad, Marty, “welcome an eclectic mix of comedians, musicians, authors, actors, and local celebs to the couch for a unique live talk show experience that needs to be experienced to be experienced.”

Rogowsky is one of a handful of high-profile Phish fans who routinely peppers his day job with references to the popular jam band, and was even tapped as the voice for SiriusXM’s Phish Radio last summer. HQ Trivia, an app that hosts daily trivia games with prize money, has been doused with Phish (and Grateful Dead) references since its inception in 2017, including his nightly kickoff: “Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty, let’s get this show on the road.” Rogowsky, a noted jam band aficionado, even got John Mayer to host the app-based game while Dead & Company was in New York for their Citi Field performances over the summer. Rogowsky also recently stopped by Tom Marshall’s Under The Scales podcast to discuss an array of Phish and non-Phish related topics.

EXCLUSIVE: MSNBC’s Katy Tur Talks Her Love Of Phish & Sneaking Lyrics Into The News

Katy Tur has also left an indelible mark on the Phish community. When her life as the go-to, on-the-road correspondent covering the Trump campaign came to an end in late 2016, Tur shifted into the role of anchor, holding down her very own hour each afternoon on MSNBC, during which she promptly started filling with tongue-in-cheek references to Phish lyrics. The fun quotes, presented as a sort of inside joke, quickly made their way around the internet and turned Tur into one of the most visible public Phish fans in the community.

Tickets for Scott Rogowsky’s upcoming Running Late show with Katy Tur and Matisyahu are on sale now here.
