This news comes months after an official announcement from the Tipper camp, stating that the British producer would be “scaling back” his performances going forward as a result of an unspecified health diagnosis. The official post in the Tipper Community Facebook page in October noted that “Its not life threatening, but it is Life Altering,” adding that “Tipper isn’t ‘retired’ fully, but we are scaling back the frequency and predictability of his appearances.”

Tipper headlined the inaugural Secret Dreams last August at Legend Valley, where his set on the last day was nearly canceled due to torrential downpours and lightning. That first outing experienced other growing pains as well, with STS9 canceling its set due to a positive COVID test within the band. Additionally, organizers for The Werk Out Music & Arts Festival—also held at Legend Valley around the same time as Secret Dreams and hosted by The Werks—announced that they are teaming up with Secret Dreams to put on this year’s fest. As a result, The Werk Out will take a year off in 2023.

“We appreciate your support and understanding as we combine forces to make a SUPER festival at Legend Valley this August!” Organizers wrote on Facebook. “We are VERY excited to be working together, as you know, Teamwerk Makes The Dream Werk!!
