San Diego-based dub rockers Slightly Stoopid have have confirmed plans and the initial lineup for their third annual Closer To The Sun destination event. Set to take place from December 14th – 18th the the Now Sapphire Resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, the event has announced three shows from the hosts, along with two performances each from the Dirty Heads, Matisyahu, Stick Figure, and Tribal Seeds with additional acts and special guests to be announced in the near future.
Slightly Stoopid band member Miles Doughty states, “Closer to the Sun is the ultimate pre-holiday get away for fans and the bands. From the beach to the cenotes and ruins, the Mayan Riviera is truly a special place. We’re looking forward to getting back to Puerto Morelos and having some holiday fun in the sun hanging with all of our friends! There is nothing better than being able to jam with your friends in paradise on the beach. Come spend the holidays with the Stoopid family!”
On-site, the event promotes a full schedule with artist-hosted activities and workshops, an autograph signing, pool contests, beach side games, and impromptu jam sessions, bringing fans and artists together on a vacation in paradise.
