Though The Smashing Pumpkins are currently working on another new album with the mostly-reunited lineup, that isn’t stopping them from looking back. This week, Smashing Pumpkins announced a slew of in-person and virtual events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Gish, released on May 28th, 1991.

While the Gish celebration doesn’t get a concert or tour—like the allegedly planned Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness anniversary tour—frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin will go live on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT for a special stream. The two-hour program will feature a Q&A with the musicians, a Gish listening party, and the premiere of unreleased music. Tickets will cost $19.91 and fans will be able to replay the stream for 24 hours. Smashing Pumpkins will donate a portion of the proceeds to Chicago’s PAWS animal shelter.

The stream will be held at Corgan’s Chicago tea house, Madam Zuzus, which will also host a number of in-person events. This weekend will see limited edition Gish memorabilia on display along with vintage merchandise. There will also be Gish-themed food and drink, including a “psychedelic cake” from vegan bakery Pie Pie My Darling and a Hop Butcher beer collaboration called “Soul Head”, the name of Corgan’s Gish-era amp.

For those non-Chicago dwellers, there will be more online activities including an active forum where fans are invited to share their favorite Gish memories. Smashing Pumpkins will also host an online scavenger hunt with clues hidden across their social media pages.

Tickets for the Smashing Pumpkins Gish 30th-anniversary livestream are on sale here. Scroll down to see the first scavenger hunt clue and follow along on the band’s social media accounts.
