Have you ever been an unemployed guitarist scrolling through endless job postings online and found yourself thinking, “Man, I wish The Smashing Pumpkins were hiring?” If so, today is your lucky day! Actually.

In a post on the band’s social media pages on Friday, The Smashing Pumpkins issued a no-frills call for applicants to serve as “an additional guitarist” in the seminal Gen-X alt-rock band. The post invites interested parties to “submit a resume and any related materials to SPGuitar@redlightmanagement.com” and specifically notes that “the application process is open to anyone who might be interested.”

The band’s lineup has shifted periodically throughout its decades-long existence. The most recent iteration of the band includes frontman Billy Corgan, guitarist/bassist James Iha, and drummer Jimmy Camberlain, with multi-instrumentalist Katie Cole, bassist Jack Bates, and others joining the band on tour.

An “additional guitarist” in The Smashing Pumpkins would, in theory, have a big year ahead of them: The band is scheduled for a lengthy European tour in June and July before joining Green Day‘s Saviors Tour for stadium stops throughout North America.
