Today, The Smashing Pumpkins and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced a summer 2019 co-headlining tour with nightly support from AFI.
The 16-date tour will begin on August 8th with a performance at Camden, NJ’s BB&T Pavilion before heading to Jones Beach in Wantaugh, NY on August 8th and Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center, NY on August 10th. The tour will continue from there with performances in Toronto, ON (8/13); Detroit, MI (8/14); Chicago, IL (8/15); Columbia, MD (8/17); Cleveland, OH (8/19); Charlotte, NC (8/20); Alpharetta, GA (8/21); Rogers, AR (8/23); Dallas, TX (8/24); Houston, TX (8/25); San Diego, CA (8/28); and Los Angeles, CA (8/30) before wrapping up with a show at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA on August 30th.
The tour comes in continuing support of The Smashing Pumpkins’ 2018 album, Shiny And Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future, released in November. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and AFI will be supporting their respective 2017 album releases.

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for Noel Gallagher’s brother and former Oasis bandmate, Liam Gallagher, with whom he’s publicly sparred for years, to speak up about the new announcement. Responding to a tweet from a fan about the potential for Liam to come out on tour as well, Liam brushed off the news of the tour: “Pumpkins n potato’s what ever nxt.”
