Snoop Dogg has had quite an interesting career. Since making his name as one of the most influential rappers of hip-hop’s early 90’s golden age, Snoop has become a prominent cultural figure, becoming synonymous with the joys of Mary Jane and hosting a variety of TV programs, from reality shows chronicling his family life, to a reboot of popular game show Joker’s Wild, to his Emmy-nominated cooking show with co-host Martha StewartMartha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Now, Snoop is set to release his latest new venture, a cookbook titled From Crook To Cook: Platinum Recipes From Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen. The new book is due for release this October.

The book includes roughly 50 recipes ranging from upscale meals like lobster thermidor and filet mignon to munchies like soft-flour tacos and baked mac and cheese to, of course, a recipe for the rapper’s hit record-spawning favorite cocktail—gin and juice. From Crook To Cook‘s publisher promises “epic stories and behind-the-scenes photos” along with the dishes detailed.

As Snoop Dogg explains in a statement, “You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen. I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favourite recipes, ya dig? ” As The Guardian notes, the book’s publisher promises “‘snacks to satisfy those munchies,’ alluding to the rapper’s fabled marijuana habit, but assures readers that recipes are ‘cannabis-free.'”

Snoop is far from the first hip-hop personality to get into the cooking game. As The Guardian explains, “2Chainz wrote a 28-page cookbook called #MealTimeKelis published My Life on a Plate, and Coolio wrote Cookin’ With Coolio. Action Bronson, meanwhile, presents a web series called Fuck, That’s Delicious.
