Between 2014 and 2015, Snoop Dogg and Jimmy Kimmel teamed up for a very special mini-series called “Plizzanet Earth.” In the series, Snoop narrates his reactions to the wild scenarios in the original nature documentary “Planet Earth” while getting high and learning more about the animal kingdom. The videos did so well, that over 75,000 signatures gathered in a petition entitled “Get Snoop Dogg to Narrate Whole Season of Planet Earth.” If you haven’t already, you should watch all of “Plizzanet Earth” here.
Dreams were made true with the debut of “Planet Snoop,” which exclusively premiered yesterday through Merry Jane, a new media platform for cannabis culture and lifestyle. Slightly different than the original series, Merry Jane hosts “Planet Snoop” as a new documentary-series, featuring cannabis-infused commentary to the craziest viral videos on the web.
The first episode features a battle between a snake and a squirrel, which Snoop suspected “an easy win for the snake.” Shocked by the outcome, he explains, “If [a squirrel] can bust a nut, you know he can bust a snake head open, no problem!”
